This end of terrace period ‘cottage’ is located on a split-level site in Dublin 3. After the addition of various extensions onto the original dwelling, the connection to the rear garden/courtyard required some consideration. The former rear kitchen was broken out to allow access and a connection to the garden from the dining room and new steps down to the rear allows a practical approach to the steep level change. 

Attention to detail with colour palette and material selection was important for this project, with the ply kitchen and tiled work-tops contrasting with bright blue aluminium windows/doors, red marmoleum flooring and brave colour palette throughout the decoration scheme.

This project was carried out under permitted development rights.
