We are proposing to demolish an existing labyrinthine group of extensions to this single storey terraced building to make way for a coherent, courtyard-style addition. A glazed connector, containing the kitchen and ample storage, links the reception spaces located to the rear of the original footprint to a master bedroom suite at the foot of the garden. This arrangement results in a generous, planted courtyard, affording external views from the principal rooms, new and existing. Natural light is brought deep into the bedroom extension using a periscopic roof-light.
